PAX 96 Ranch Farming

Pax 96 Ranch & Whitetail CenterTo help maintain an abundance of wildlife, approximately 500 acres of land is used for agricultural purposes and food plots. During the spring and summer months, Lab-Lab and Soy Beans are planted as a protein supplement to aid in antler development. About 350 acres of hay grazer is also planted during the summer months. Throughout winter, Wheat and Austrian Peas are sowed to provide the wildlife something to browse on when all other plants die due to the freezing temperatures. We leave the wheat to come up as ‘volunteer wheat’ in the summer allowing food for the game birds. While these various types of plants provide food for diverse species, it also offers cover when it reaches the mature growth stage.
